For Level-2 (Group ‘C’):
- The candidate should have passed the 12th (+2 stage) or an equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks from a government-recognized Education Board/Council/Institution. (50% marks is not required for SC, ST, ESM, and PWD candidates and those with higher qualifications from UGC-recognized Universities.)
- OR the candidate should have a 10th pass with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) / ITI approved by NCVT (a Diploma in Engineering is not considered an alternative higher qualification).
For Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’):
- The candidate should have a 10th pass from a government-recognized Board.
- OR the candidate should have a 10th pass with an ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT.
