Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day
The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy under the Ministry of Ayush organized a one-day Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day in New Delhi with the theme “Homoeoparivar – Sarvajan Swasthya, One Health, One Family”. The convention aimed to promote evidence-based homoeopathic treatment for the health and wellness of entire families, capacity building of homoeopathic practitioners, and the promotion of homoeopathy as a treatment of choice in households.
Vice President of India emphasizes the need for comprehensive healthcare approach
During the convention, the Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, emphasized the need for a comprehensive and integrated approach to healthcare, aligning with the theme of the event – Homoeoparivar – and medical pluralism that is the hallmark of healthcare in India. He also highlighted the role of homoeopathy in combating COVID-19, stating that homoeopathy played a significant role in combating the pandemic.
Ministry of Ayush encourages research and development in medicine systems
Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, highlighted the initiatives taken up by the Ministry of Ayush to promote Ayush system of medicines and encouraged the promotion of research and development in the systems of medicine to make them more evidence-based and effective. An agreement was signed with the Department of Homoeopathy, Government of Kerala for conducting clinical trials on immunological responses of Arsenicum album in COVID-19.
Agreement and MoU signed for clinical trials and education
In a massive outreach to the homoeopathic education sector, CCRH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 70 State/National Homoeopathic Medical Colleges. The convention also included sessions on Policy aspects in development of Homoeopathy, Strategic Framework for Advancement of Homoeopathy, Research Evidences in Homoeopathy, and Expertise and Experience in Homoeopathic Practice.
CCRH publications and documentaries released
At the event, 9 CCRH publications were released, two documentaries were premiered, and the CCRH e-library Consortium web portal was launched. The convention was concluded with the felicitation of 134 CCRH Short Term Studentships in Homoeopathy (STSH) and 07 MD scholarship winners.
