New Delhi, August 3, 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has issued an urgent advisory to all institutions affiliated to CBSE, warning them about a fraudulent activity involving Wizcorp Edtech Pvt. Ltd.
According to the advisory (Circular No. Skill-87/2023), CBSE has been made aware of a concerning situation wherein Wizcorp Edtech Pvt. Ltd. has been allegedly using a fake letter, falsely attributed to CBSE, to secure government tenders and contracts within schools, particularly in the state of Maharashtra.
In an official statement, CBSE categorically denied any association with the letter being circulated by Wizcorp Edtech Pvt. Ltd., asserting that the letter in question was never issued by the board. Any representative claiming otherwise is deemed to be engaging in fraudulent and misleading activities.
The advisory further emphasizes that CBSE cannot be held responsible for any financial or other losses that schools and educational institutions may incur due to considering or accepting this counterfeit letter. As a precautionary measure, all schools and educational institutions affiliated to CBSE are urged to exercise caution in their dealings with Wizcorp Edtech Pvt. Ltd.
CBSE has expressed its determination to take swift action against Wizcorp Edtech Pvt. Ltd. for disseminating misleading information and circulating a fabricated counterfeit letter. The board is actively pursuing legal measures to address the matter.
School principals, administrators, and educators have been requested to disseminate this information to all stakeholders to prevent potential harm or misunderstanding. In the event of encountering any additional suspicious activity related to this matter, they are encouraged to report it to CBSE authorities without delay.
The board highlighted the importance of collective action against such malpractices to ensure the integrity and sanctity of the education ecosystem.
