- Senior Operative Trainee (SOT) – Metallurgy: Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Senior Operative Trainee (SOT) – Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Senior Operative Trainee (SOT) – Electrical: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
Age Limit:
- Junior Operative Trainee (JOT): Up to 30 years
- Senior Operative Trainee (SOT): Up to 35 years
Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern):
- Junior Operative Trainee (JOT): Rs. 20,000/-
- Senior Operative Trainee (SOT): Rs. 21,900/-
