• For Classes I to V: Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (OR) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education with NCTE recognition (OR) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (OR) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR) Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Candidates must have passed the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-I (OTET-I) and must have Odia language proficiency.
• For Classes VI to VIII: Graduation and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education (OR) At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (OR) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 04 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (OR) Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 04 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. (OR) Graduation with at least 50% marks and 01 year B.Ed (Special Education) (OR) Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed – M.Ed. Candidates must have passed the Odisha Eligibility Test-II (OTET-II) and must have Odia language proficiency.

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 38 years (as of September 13, 2023)
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, Women & SEBC, plus 10 years for PwD.

Salary:

• First Three Years as Junior Teacher (Schematic): ₹11,000/- per month (excluding EPF of employer share)
• Next 03 Years as Junior Teacher: ₹13,800/- per month (excluding EPF of employer share)
• After 06 years of continuous and satisfactory service will be appointed as Regular Elementary Teacher: ₹23,600/- per month and D.A., HRA, and other allowances.
