The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Shimla, announces the recruitment of Research Associate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contractual basis. Applications are invited for 7 RA and 10 SRF positions. Check details below.

Introduction: ICAR CPRI Shimla is hiring Research Associates and Senior Research Fellows for a time-bound project. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications by January 24, 2024. The interview dates are January 29 and 31, 2024, for RA and SRF, respectively.

Education Qualification:

1. Research Associate:
   • Essential Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Molecular Breeding/Life Sciences/Bioinformatics from a recognized institute/university.
   • Desirable Qualification: Experience in genome editing/genetic transformation of plants, gene cloning and expression analysis, structural & functional genomics, or plant tissue culture/protoplast isolation.
2. Senior Research Fellow:
   • Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Molecular Breeding/Life Sciences/Bioinformatics with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree or candidates with a post-graduate degree in basic sciences and NET qualification.
   • Desirable Qualification: Similar to Research Associate.

Interview Schedule:

• Research Associate: January 29, 2024
• Senior Research Fellow: January 31, 2024

Age Limit:

• Research Associate: 40-45 Years
• Senior Research Fellow: 35-40 Years
