Online Recruitment Applications (ORA)* are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 56 Veterinary Officer (Class-I) positions on a contract basis in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Important Instructions:

3. Candidates should possess the essential qualifications mentioned in the eligibility criteria of this advertisement.
4. Reservation benefits will be applicable only to bona fide residents of Himachal Pradesh.
5. Reserved category candidates from other states will be treated as General Category candidates.
6. In-service candidates must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
7. Examination fees once paid will not be refunded.
8. Ensure correct email and mobile number for receiving alerts and messages related to the examination.
9. Optionally, provide your Aadhar Number.
10. Disputes, if any, will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Shimla court.
11. Requisite documents should be uploaded on the OTRS portal.

List of Documents to be Uploaded:

1. Matriculation certificate for age proof.
2. Degree certificates along with marks sheets or consolidated mark sheet for educational qualifications.
3. Certificate of registration with the State Veterinary Council.
4. Experience certificates, where required.
5. Valid category certificates for eligibility (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, Wards of Ex-Servicemen, WFF, Persons with benchmark Disabilities, etc.). Certificates should be in accordance with government instructions.
6. Bonafide Himachali Certificate for reserved category candidates.
7. Valid EWS/BPL Certificate (Candidates applying under EWS category must submit either “Income & Asset Certificate” or valid BPL Certificate countersigned by B.D.O. along with non-SC/ST/OBC certificate).
8. Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate/Service Book for Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh.

Essential Qualifications:

• Should possess a degree of B.V.Sc. and A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) from a recognized University as per the Indian Veterinary Council Act,1984.
• Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council Act, 1984.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
• Suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Eligibility Conditions:

1. Eligibility is determined as of the closing date for submission of Online Recruitment Applications through the ORA portal.
2. Reserved category candidates appointed on their own merit will not be adjusted against reserved points.
3. For experience-based posts, candidates must have required experience after acquiring essential educational qualifications.
4. The Commission’s decision regarding eligibility for selection will be final.
5. Onus of proving eligibility lies with the candidate.
6. In case of equivalent qualifications, candidates must provide the relevant authority’s order/letter.

Age:

Between 18 to 45 years as of 01-01-2023.

Note I: Date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted.

Note II: No change in date of birth will be allowed once claimed.

Note III: Exercise due care while entering date of birth.

Clarification: Five years relaxation in upper age limit is applicable only to specific categories of Himachal Pradesh.

How to Apply:

2. Apply online through the official website http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
3. Applications received through any other mode will be rejected.
4. Register and create a profile through the One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations.
5. After logging in, select the desired post and apply.
6. Submit an undertaking/declaration regarding document quality.
7. No further document submission is allowed after the online application submission.
8. Application fees must be paid for successful submission.

Note 1: Examination center(s) may change at the Commission’s discretion.

Note 2: For Computer Based Test (CBT), centers will be allotted based on availability in Himachal Pradesh.

Examination Fees:

• Male candidates of General, General Physically Disabled, EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighter categories, and General Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh: Rs. 400
• All Male candidates of Other States: Rs. 400
• Male candidates of SC, ST, OBC, and EWS under UR-BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh, and Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories: Rs. 100
• Ex-Servicemen male candidates of Himachal Pradesh who are relieved from the Defence Services after completion of their normal tenure of service and Blind and Visually Impaired male candidates of Himachal Pradesh: No Fee
