KVS Class 1 Merit List 2023: First List Released on April 20, 2023

Introduction: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the first merit list for admission to Class 1 on April 20, 2023. The provisional merit list will be based on the information provided in the application form, and three different sets will be available online for parents to check. I. Process to Check KVS Merit List 2023 for Class 1

Admissions to Class 1 will be done online, and for other classes, it will be offline. The committee includes five members: Principal, Convener Teacher, Two Parents (One lady), and VMC Member.

IV. Admissions to Class 2-8

No entrance test will be conducted for admission to Classes 2-8, and admissions will be offered based on the Priority Category System. If applications are more than the number of seats, a lottery system will be followed in each category, including the single girl child quota (Class VI onwards).

V. Admission to Class 9

An admission test will be conducted in subjects such as Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science. Candidates have to score at least 35% marks in aggregate to qualify, while SC/ST/Divyang category candidates need to score at least 25% marks. A merit list will be prepared for each category of priority separately.

VI. Admission to Class 11

Admission to KV students in Science, Commerce, Humanities streams will be based on aggregate marks scored in Class 10. The minimum marks required are 60% for Science, 55% for Commerce, and all students of KV who declared successful in Class X exam will be eligible for the Humanities stream. If seats remain vacant after admitting children of KV/neighboring KVs, non-KV children may be granted admission based on the same criteria.
