1. Emirates Airline introduces world’s first check-in robot

Emirates Airline, based in Garhoud, Dubai, has introduced the world’s first check-in robot named Sara. It is a technologically advanced robot machine that will scan and match the faces of customers and their passports, book their tickets, and help them to the bag drop area. The system has been set up at Check-In and Travel store.

2. Diwali declared as a national holiday in Pennsylvania

The US state of Pennsylvania has declared the Hindu festival Diwali as a national holiday. The decision was made during a meeting where the senators voted and passed the bill. More than 2 lakhs of people residing across the state celebrate Diwali, a festival of illumination and knowledge.

3. Over 300 Indians brought back to Bengaluru under Operation Kaveri

The grand opening of the Bollywood show Filmfare Awards 2023 was celebrated in Mumbai, with many personalities from the cinematic industry attending. Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress Award for the 2022 movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ while Rajkumar Rao won the Best Actor Award for his hit 2022 film ‘Badhaai Do.’ Salman Khan and Manish Paul were co-hosts, and Vicky Kaushal paid tribute to all those commemorated choreographers and danced on the Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu.’
