NEET 2023 Postponed in Manipur Due to Violence, Revised Exam Dates to be Announced by NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the postponement of the NEET UG 2023 exam in Manipur due to the deteriorating law and order situation and violent clashes in the state. As per the latest updates, the exam, which was scheduled to be held on May 7, 2023, has been deferred, and the revised dates for Manipur candidates will be announced soon on the official website.

Request for Postponement

Earlier, MoS Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh had written to the NTA requesting them to “explore the possibility of rescheduling” the exam due to the situation in Manipur. As per the official tweet of ANI, Union Minister Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh (BJP MP from Manipur) had requested the NEET authority to postpone the exam, and now it has been postponed. He also mentioned that 8751 students from Manipur will not be present in the exam.

NEET 2023 Revised Dates

NTA has not released the revised schedule for the NEET UG 2023 exam in Manipur yet. Fresh admit cards will be allotted along with the announcement of the new dates. The exam centre and timings are expected to remain the same as per media reports. However, there is no official notification regarding the revised dates yet. Aspirants in Manipur are advised to keep a close eye on the official website, i.e., neet.nta.nic.in, for the latest updates.

NEET 2023 Exam in Other States

It is important to note that the NEET 2023 exam has only been postponed in Manipur due to the ongoing violence and clashes. The exam will be conducted in other states as per the schedule. Candidates outside Manipur are advised to reach the examination hall on time and carry their NEET 2023 admit card along with a valid ID proof.
