Important Eligibility Conditions
- These are permanent posts. Stipendiary Trainees will be absorbed as Scientific Assistant/B or Technician/B after successful training.
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination by 04-02-2026. Awaiting results are not eligible.
- Applicants must be Indian nationals. No general domicile restriction applies, though relaxations exist for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of the Tarapur site.
- Only full-time, regular qualifications from recognized institutions are acceptable. Distance or open learning qualifications are not valid.
Stipendiary Trainee – Training, Stipend & Bond
Category-I ST/SA
- Physical Standards: Minimum height 160 cm; minimum weight 45.5 kg
- Training Period: 18 months
- Stipend:
- First year: ₹24,000/month
- Next 6 months: ₹26,000/month
- Book allowance: ₹3,000
- Bond:
- Duration: 4½ years
- Amount: ₹4,47,000
- Recovery in case of breach: Actual stipend paid + book allowance
Category-II ST/TN
- Training Period: 24 months
- Stipend:
- First year: ₹20,000/month
- Second year: ₹22,000/month

Selection Process
Scientific Assistant/B & ST/SA (Category-I)
- Online Examination
- 50 objective questions (2 marks each)
- Negative marking: 0.5 mark
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Qualifying marks: 40% (UR), 30% (reserved categories)
- Personal Interview
- 100 marks
- Shortlisting: approx. 5 times the number of vacancies
- Final Merit

X-Ray Technician & ST/TN (Category-II)
- Online Exam – Stage 1 (Prelims)
- Maths: 20, Science: 20, GA: 10

- Final Selection: Based on Stage-2 marks, subject to document verification and medical fitness
- Typing Test: Mandatory after 6 months of service (two attempts allowed)
