Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express during his visit to Telangana. The Secunderabad Railway Station will also undergo a redevelopment at a cost of Rs 720 crore, featuring a new iconic building and world-class amenities to provide a seamless and convenient experience for passengers. The new train is expected to reduce travel time between Hyderabad and Tirupati by almost three-and-a-half hours and is particularly useful for pilgrims. PM Modi also inaugurated 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) services in the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin city region to offer commuters a fast, convenient, and comfortable commuting option. Other projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister include the completed Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar project, which involved the doubling and electrification of the railway line, the foundation stone for AIIMS Bibinagar, and National Highway projects to enhance road connectivity and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
