SEBI is seeking applications from Indian citizens for the Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) position in various streams. The available streams include General, Legal, Information Technology, Engineering Electrical, Research, and Official Language. SEBI reserves the right to fill or not to fill the positions.
Educational Qualifications and Streams
Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications for each stream:
- General: Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline, Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Engineering, or equivalent.
- Legal: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with desirable experience as an Advocate.
- Information Technology: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any discipline with a postgraduate qualification in computer science/information technology.
- Engineering (Electrical): Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, with relevant experience.
- Research: Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Economics/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics.
- Official Language: Master’s Degree in Hindi/Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce.
Eligibility and Reservations
Candidates awaiting results are eligible, with reservations for OBC (NCL), EWSs, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates as per applicable laws. The maximum age limit is 30 years as of March 31, 2024, with relaxation as per rules.
Selection Process
Selection involves three phases: online examinations (Phase I and II) and an interview. SEBI reserves the right to modify the procedure.
Service Conditions and Pay
Selected candidates undergo a two-year probation period. The pay scale for Officers Grade A ranges from ₹44,500 to ₹1,49,500 per month, including various allowances and benefits.
Examination Centres and Application Fee
Examinations and interviews will be conducted across various cities in India. The application fee is ₹1000 for Unreserved, OBC, and EWSs categories, and ₹100 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Pre-Examination Training
SEBI offers free pre-examination training for SC/ST/OBC(PwBD) candidates in online mode, with candidates required to indicate their interest during the application process.
