The Supreme Court of India is hiring for the post of Court Master (Shorthand). There are 20 vacancies available for this position.
Tenure
The period of deputation is initially set for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in Level–11, ranging from Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700.
Age Limit
Candidates should not exceed 56 years of age as of the application closing date.
Required Eligibility
- Education: A Degree in Law [including BGL/LL.B (Academic)] from a recognized University in India.
- Skills: Proficiency in Shorthand with a speed of 120 w.p.m in English, and computer operation with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m.
- Experience:
- Holding analogous posts in the High Court on a regular basis, or
- A minimum of 5 years of regular service in the cadre of Private Secretary/Senior PA/PA/Senior Stenographer in the High Court.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on a Skill Test. The test will evaluate shorthand proficiency at a speed of 120 w.p.m, with up to 5% permissible mistakes, carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying score is 50 marks.
