The brightest flare ever observed from BL Lacertae (BL Lac), a blazar located 950 million light years away, was detected through observations from eleven global telescopes. The flare reached its maximum brightness on August 21, 2020, and was captured by the Modified Dall-Kirkham telescope in Poland. The brightness of BL Lac increased from 14 to 11.8, and its flux value peaked at 109.88 mJy. The researchers also calculated the magnetic field of the source and estimated the size of the emitting region. These findings provide a basis for future studies of BL Lac in different wavelengths.
