CBSE Supplementary Exams 2023 As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announces the results for Class X and Class XII, it is crucial for students to stay informed about the upcoming Supplementary Examinations for the academic year 2022-23. In this blog post, we provide all the necessary information regarding the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools and the eligibility criteria for the Supplementary Examinations. Let’s dive in!

Changes in Nomenclature

In accordance with the recommendations made in the National Education Policy 2020, CBSE has modified the nomenclature of Compartment Examinations to Supplementary Examinations, as stated in the Notification no. CBSE/COORD/EC-Dec-2022/ITEM-3.08/2023/e-71926 dated 10th March 2023.

Submission of LOC for Supplementary Examinations

Starting from 1st June 2023 (Thursday), the process of submitting the List of Candidates for the Supplementary Examinations will commence. Schools are required to utilize the PARIKSHA SANGAM link (https://parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in/) available on the CBSE website for submitting the LOC. It is essential to note that only students whose names are submitted through this online process will be allowed to appear for the Supplementary Examinations.

Instructions for Schools:

  1. Schools should inform students who have been declared ‘Compartment’ in the 2023 Main Examinations about the Supplementary examinations.
  2. Candidates who wish to improve their performance in specific subjects in Class X or Class XII should also be informed by the schools.
  3. Even if the schools are unable to contact the students placed in the Compartment category, they must submit the LOC for all such students. Non-submission of a student’s name will result in the loss of opportunity to appear in the Supplementary examinations.
  4. Schools must submit the LOC within the specified schedule and are responsible for timely compliance.
  5. No extension of the submission date will be granted under any circumstances, and no candidature will be accepted after the deadline.
