NCGG Launches Internship Programme in Public Policy and Governance for Young Minds

The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) has launched its first-ever Internship Programme, welcoming young students to engage in research and learning about public policy and good governance. The programme received over 1,700 applications and selected 22 candidates with academic excellence and a passion for the field. The interns will work on various domains of governance, contribute to policy-making, and learn from experts through interactive sessions. The internship aims to develop a collaborative environment, enhance understanding of governance challenges, and promote citizen-centric governance. The programme is supervised by Dr. Yashu Sharma, Dr. Gazala Hasan, and the NCGG team.

G20 SAI Summit: Focus on Blue Economy and Responsible AI

The G20 SAI Summit is set to begin in Goa tomorrow, with the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of India, Shri Girish Chandra Murmu, delivering the inaugural address. The summit will focus on the collaboration of the Supreme Audit Institutions-20 (SAI20) Engagement Group in the areas of Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI). SAIs from various G20 countries and international organizations will attend, discussing auditing techniques and sharing experiences. The goal is to foster accountability in governance and address global challenges.

G20 DEWG Meeting & Global DPI Summit: Fostering Digital Infrastructure & Innovation

India is hosting the G20 Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting and the Global Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Summit. The summit will feature discussions on various topics related to digital infrastructure and will include participation from 46 countries and international organizations. An exhibition showcasing digital solutions will also be held. The meeting will focus on priorities such as digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital skilling. Additionally, India has launched the Stay Safe Online campaign and the G20 Digital Innovation Alliance.

Government Approves Rs 7,500 Cr. for Modern Fishing Harbours and Fish Landing Centres: Parshottam Rupala

The Government has approved over Rs 7,500 Cr. for the development of modern fishing harbours and fish landing centres. Parshottam Rupala and Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for the Modernization and Up-gradation of Cochin Fishing Harbour. The project will benefit 700 fishing boats and support the livelihoods of around 10,000 fishers. The modernization activities include the establishment of auction halls, fish dressing unit, packaging unit, and more. The project has a PPP component of Rs. 55.85 crore. The Government has approved projects worth more than Rs 7,500 Cr. for the development of fishing harbours and fish landing centres.
