With a large population under the age of 15, India has huge potential for the toy industry. The event aimed to unlock India’s potential in the sector and emphasized the importance of safe and high-quality toys. Over 50 attendees, including major domestic manufacturers, participated in the event, showcasing the industry’s developments and momentum in integrating into global toy supply chains.

3rd Trade and Investment Working Group Meeting: G20 Delegates to Discuss Action-Oriented Proposals on Global Trade and Investment

The 3rd Trade and Investment Working Group Meeting will be held in Kevadia, Gujarat from 10th–12th July 2023. G20 delegates will discuss action-oriented proposals on global trade and investment issues. The meeting aims to build consensus on the proposals put forward by the Indian Presidency. The agenda includes seminars on trade infrastructure, a tour of the Statue of Unity, and discussions on priority issues such as trade growth, MSME integration, logistics, and WTO reforms. Specific inputs from G20 member countries will be incorporated into the Ministerial Communique, to be adopted in August 2023. The meeting seeks to address challenges in global trade and investment and promote inclusive and transparent growth.

63 Students and Teachers from India Embark on Educational Visit to Japan as part of Sakura Science Programme

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), has flagged off a group of 63 students and teachers from Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas for an educational visit to Japan. The students will visit industrial organizations, museums, universities, and research institutions to gain firsthand knowledge and guidance for their future careers. This visit is part of the Sakura Science High School Programme, which aims to promote scientific exploration and cultural experiences for young learners.
