The extended timeline for ethanol projects aims to boost the agricultural economy, reduce fossil fuel dependency, save foreign exchange, and cut air pollution. The government provides financial assistance and interest subvention for the loans. India aims to increase ethanol production and supply for the Ethanol Blended with Petrol (EBP) Program. The target is to achieve 20% blending by 2025.
    • EPFO Extends Deadline for Pension Options and Wage Details Submission
      • EPFO allows employees 15 days to submit pension options on higher wages, while employers have three more months to upload wage details online.     • ADB Provides $400 Million Loan for Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Railway Construction in Bangladesh
      • The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a $400 million loan to Bangladesh for the construction of a 102-kilometer dual gauge railway between Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar. The project aims to promote trade, investment, and tourism, and it is part of the Trans-Asia Railway network, connecting Asia and Europe.       • The Government of India will conduct an auction to sell re-issued government securities, including 7.06% GS 2028, 7.26% GS 2033, and 7.30% GS 2053. The auctions will be held on June 30, 2023.
