FAQs – NPCIL

Q. 1 Where should I send print out of Online Application form?
Ans. Print out of Online Application form is NOT TO BE SENT at this stage. At the Time of Document/Certificate Verification, candidates are required to carry with them the printout of ‘Online Application Form’ along with other essential documents mentioned in the advertisement.
Q. 2 Should I send the copies of certificates / documents regarding my qualification, caste, disablement etc?
Ans. DO NOT SEND any documents to NPCIL.
Q. 3 How can I check the status of my application?
Ans. You can click “Applicant’s Login” menu and check the status of your application on this website by entering your relevant details.
Q. 4 How can I pay my Application fee?
Ans. Please refer to Step 4 & 5 of para 12 f of the detailed advertisement for payment of Application fee.
Q. 5 I am a SC/ST/OBC Applicant but don’t have the caste certificate. Can I apply as a General Applicant?
Ans. If you so desire, you may apply stating your category as “General”, if eligible for General category. In such an event, your candidature will be considered as “GENERAL” and no change in category shall be allowed at a later date. No relaxation/concessions will be applicable to you.
Q. 6 I am working in a Government/Public Sector Company. Should I enclose an NOC from my employer while appearing for Certiifcate verification/interview?
Ans. Shortlisted applicants working in Central/State Government/PSUs/Aided Institutions should bring “No Objection Certificate” from the organisation without which they will not be allowed to appear for the Certiifcate Verification/interview.
Q. 7 I have not received the activation email when I completed my registration. Why?
Ans. The activation email could have been delivered to the spam / junk folder of your email account. So please check in these folders.
Q. 8 Do I have to upload scanned copy of original documents ?
Ans. Candidates are not required to upload scanned copy of the documents at the time of filling online Application.
Q. 9 I have forgotten/lost my Login Id/User Name.
Ans. Login Id has been provided in the email, which was sent after the online registration. You can also retrieve Login Id/User Name using link “FORGOT USERNAME”.
Q. 10 I have forgotten/lost my password.
Ans. Password can be reset using link “FORGOT PASSWORD”.
Q. 11 The scanned photograph and signature should be sent separately?
Ans. No. It should be uploaded at the time of filling in application.
Q. 12 I almost filled up my form but then my computer crashed. Can I fill this application form again?
Ans. Yes. You have to log in again and resume filling the form provided you have saved draft application form. If not saved, you have to fill up the form again.
Q. 13 Can I use different mobile numbers while filling up form?
Ans. No, candidate is requested to mention only one active mobile number in the application form. SMS shall be sent to this number only.
Q. 14 Under which category will PwBD candidate be treated?
Ans. A PwBD candidate will be considered under his/her own category viz General/SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
Q. 15 I am a diabetic/BP patient. If I clear interview, will I become unfit for the job?
Ans. The appointment of the selected candidate will be subject to she/he being found Medically Fit by the Authorised Medical Officer of NPCIL.
Q. 16 I am a woman candidate, am I eligible to apply?
Ans. Yes.
Q. 17 When Certificate verification takes place?
Ans. At the time of interview.
Q. 18 I had uploaded my signature but I am not able to view it in the application form submitted.
Ans. The signature will not be printed on application form. However at the time of interview, candidate needs to sign it after taking the print out.
Q. 19 In case of multiple applications which application will be considered?
Ans. In case of multiple applications, only the latest application will be considered
Q. 20 Whether I should bring copy of certificates for certificate verification ?
Ans. Yes, original along with copy of certificates during interview.
Q. 21 Any seperate intimation will be given for candidates those who are not screened in?
Ans. No.
Q. 22 After successful completion of registration , it directs me to home page. What should I do?
Ans. Now you can login again using your User name and password.
Q. 23 Do I have to upload photograph and/or signature?
Ans. Yes, as per online format. However, after selection, candidate needs to sign the application after taking the print out for submission at the time of document verification.
Q. 24 After submitting the application will I be able to edit my details?
Ans. No
Q. 25 Minimum disability percentage admissible for PwBD?
Ans. 40%. Please refer detailed advertisement.
Q. 26 I am an OBC candidate, but falling under creamy layer clause will I be given any concession as OBC?
Ans. No.
Q. 27 Will any travel expenses be paid to me for attending the Interview?
Ans. please refer para 9 of the detailed advertisement.
Q. 28 I have filled in Online application. Is there any chance of my application not being considered?
Ans. Correctly filled-in application of candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of the post applied for will not normally be rejected. However, to avoid rejection of application; candidate should ensure that:

  1. Multiple applications with same details are not filled in,
  2. Only proper information is entered in the Online application.

Q. 29 The format of SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificate downloaded from the website and the certificate I have are different. Is it ok ?
Ans. Certificate should be as per the prescribed format only.
Q. 30 I have OBC(NCL) certificate/EWS certificate for previous years?
Ans. OBC (NCL) / EWS certificate issued during the current year financial year i.e. 2023-2024 is only valid.
Q. 31 I am a EWS/SC/ST/OBC Applicant but don’t have the Caste/Category Certificate . Can I apply as a General Applicant?

Q. 32 I have already paid the Application Fee but its still not updating the status
Ans. It will take up to three working days for updation.
