Filling the Online Application

If you are a first-time applicant, start by visiting the IGNOU Admission Portal for ODL Programmes – JULY 2023 Admission Cycle. On the homepage, click on the available program tab and select your desired program. Carefully review the program details, including eligibility criteria, fee structure, and duration.

We strongly recommend downloading the Common Prospectus from the website and thoroughly reading the University’s rules and regulations mentioned therein. This will provide you with comprehensive information about IGNOU’s policies and procedures.

To initiate the application process, click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” button in the applicant login area. Fill in the required registration details, ensuring that your username is between 8 to 16 characters and your password is alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long. After providing the mandatory information, click the “SUBMIT” button.

Upon successful submission, you will receive your username instantly via email and SMS. Please make sure to remember your username and password for future login purposes. If you have previously registered, simply click the “LOGIN” button to access your account.

Essential Documents and Payment Methods

Before proceeding with the online application form, make sure you have the following scanned documents ready:

  1. Photograph (less than 100 KB)
  2. Signature (less than 100 KB)
  3. Relevant Educational Qualification certificates (less than 200 KB)
  4. Experience Certificate (if applicable) (less than 200 KB)
  5. Category Certificate (if SC/ST/OBC) (less than 200 KB)

IGNOU offers multiple payment methods for fee submission, including credit cards (Master/Visa), debit cards (Master/Visa/Rupay), and net banking. When uploading the scanned documents, ensure they are scanned from the originals. After completing the document upload, proceed to the Form preview option. It is advisable to save/print your form for future reference.

Important Instructions and Refund Policy

To ensure a smooth application process, please consider the following instructions:

  1. The name and other details entered must match the information in your educational documents.
  2. Log in to the admission portal using your registered email address only.
  3. Use your own active email address throughout the admission process.
  4. It is recommended to use the latest version of Google Chrome web browser for filling the application form.

Regarding the refund policy, a non-refundable Registration Fee will be charged along with the program fee of the first semester/year at the time of admission. If a student applies for cancellation of application/admission and requests a fee refund, the refund will be considered as per the University’s policy, outlined as follows:

  1. Before confirmation of admission: Full program fee paid shall be refunded.
  2. Within 15 days of confirmation of admission: Program fee paid shall be refunded after a deduction of Rs.500/-
  3. 3. Within 16-90 days of confirmation of admission: Program fee paid shall be refunded after a deduction of Rs. 1000/-
  4. After 90 days of confirmation of admission: No refund shall be allowed.
