नई दिल्ली: गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने अपने ट्वीट में 25 जून 1975 को इंदिरा गांधी द्वारा लगाए गए आपातकाल को ‘लोकतंत्र की हत्या’ करार दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि इस तानाशाही कदम के चलते लाखों निर्दोष लोगों को जेल में डाल दिया गया और मीडिया की आवाज को दबा दिया गया।
अब, केंद्र सरकार ने निर्णय लिया है कि हर साल 25 जून को ‘संविधान हत्या दिवस’ के रूप में मनाया जाएगा। इस दिन उन सभी लोगों के योगदान को याद किया जाएगा जिन्होंने 1975 की आपातकाल के दौरान अमानवीय यातनाओं का सामना किया था। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में इस निर्णय का उद्देश्य उन लाखों लोगों के संघर्ष को सम्मान देना है जिन्होंने लोकतंत्र को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए अथक संघर्ष किया।
सरकारी अधिसूचना में कहा गया है कि 25 जून को ‘संविधान हत्या दिवस’ घोषित किया गया है ताकि लोग कभी भी सत्ता के दुरुपयोग का समर्थन न करें और भविष्य में इस तरह की तानाशाही का मुकाबला करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध रहें।
