Lakers Keep Play-in Hopes Alive with Victory over Suns 121-107

The Los Angeles Lakers kept their hopes alive of avoiding the play-in tournament with a 121-107 victory over the resting Phoenix Suns on Friday night. The Lakers remained the seventh seed in the Western Conference, following Golden State’s victory over Sacramento. DeAngelo Russell led the Lakers with 24 points, while Austin Reaves had 22 and Malik Beasley added 21. LeBron James had 16 points, and Anthony Davis finished with 14 points and 21 rebounds. The Suns rested starters Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton, and were led by Torrey Craig with 18 points, Jock Landale with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Josh Okogie with 16 points. The Lakers have won eight of their last nine games.
