Exploring the One Week One Lab Campaign by CSIR-IIP Celebrating Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is one of the most prestigious research organizations in India. The Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) is one of its premier research laboratories, which is launching a unique campaign called “One Week One Lab” from 13-19 April. This campaign aims to showcase the exclusive innovations, technological breakthroughs, and legacy of each lab. Moreover, it also celebrates the 64th foundation day of CSIR-IIP and the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The One Week One Lab campaign by CSIR-IIP includes various interactive events and activities, which are aimed at promoting science and innovation. On 13th April, the inaugural ceremony and curtain-raiser of the campaign are scheduled in New Delhi. On 14th April, which is the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, CSIR-IIP will host stakeholder meets to showcase its technologies’ developmental journey. The event will also focus on new perspectives from the Indian industry and their expectations from CSIR-IIP.

The One Week One Lab campaign also includes other events such as the Alumni meeting, which will provide a platform to discuss challenges and opportunities in the Oil and Gas industry. Moreover, on 15th April, the Jigyasa program will take place, where school students will interact with scientists and research scholars from CSIR-IIP. This event aims to encourage and inspire young minds towards science and innovation.

Furthermore, the Nature Walk @ CSIR-IIP is planned for 16th April, which will provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to immerse themselves in nature and appreciate its beauty. The campaign will also launch various programs such as water conservation and groundwater replenishment at the CSIR-IIP campus. On 17th April, the Sustainable Aviation in India & Industry Meet is scheduled to focus on the launch of the DILSAAF™ brand of sustainable fuel. This event will also deliberate on collaborative developments between CSIR-IIP and various industry partners in overcoming specific technical challenges.

Apart from this, a parallel event called Gram Chaupal is scheduled at Bajrikot Village, Champawat, Uttarakhand, to showcase CSIR-IIP’s initiatives and innovations for the rural sector. This event aims to interact with village representatives/local bodies and make them aware of programs on energy conservation practices. On 18th April, the MSME Meet & PAN CSIR–Collaboration is scheduled to showcase CSIR-IIP’s outreach to esteemed MSME partners and exhibit intra-CSIR collaborative research.
