Himachal Pradesh Government Plans to Hire 700 Nursing Officers

Shimla, November 20, 2023 –The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Colonel Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, has revealed that the state government will soon recruit 700 nursing officers. This decision aims to improve the healthcare system, especially in smaller health centers around Himachal Pradesh. Shandil assured everyone about the government’s strong commitment to offering better health services. He announced this during the opening of a new Primary Health Center (PHC) in New Shimla, Sector-4, last Sunday.

Shandil explained that the new center will provide improved health services to local residents. The construction cost around 5.5 million rupees and includes different sections like an Outpatient Department (OPD) on the entrance floor, a dispensary, a dressing room, a labor room, a nursing room, and a storage area.

Recognizing the increasing need for better healthcare centers, Shandil promised to consider expanding such facilities if more land is available. He also pledged to address other pending requests for healthcare improvements.

“Making better health facilities a priority is the main goal of the government,” affirmed Anirudh Singh.

Anirudh Singh, the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, emphasized the importance of improving healthcare locally. He pointed out that reducing the number of people visiting major hospitals was crucial, leading to the construction of a specialized hospital.
